30 Years of Continuous Growth
In 2026, we mark more than three decades since the founding of CASPER CONSULTING, the company that laid the foundations of today’s CASPER GROUP.
What began as a specialised receivables business has gradually evolved into an independent investment group built on long-term capital and disciplined risk management. From the outset, the group has been financed exclusively with its own capital, without external debt, while maintaining full continuity of ownership and leadership. Stability, long-term thinking and personal responsibility for decisions have remained the guiding principles behind every stage of its development.
From Receivables to Investment Strategy
The origins of the group lie in the field of receivables management. Early experience was gained through cooperation with insolvency administrators in the recovery of complex and difficult claims. Around the year 2000, this activity gradually expanded into the acquisition of larger receivable portfolios within the restructuring programme of the Czech banking sector carried out through the Czech Consolidation Agency.
This was followed by an exclusive cooperation with JPMorgan Chase, which continued until the global financial crisis in 2008.
In the years that followed, the group entered into joint ventures with Raiffeisenbank CZ, and in 2012 initiated the acquisition of Santander Consumer Finance CZ, a leasing company operating in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The process was completed in 2016 with the acquisition of Santander Consumer Finance Hungary.
Over time, the experience gained in acquiring, managing and restructuring receivables became the foundation of a broader investment strategy. Virtually every project in the history of the group has begun with a detailed analysis of value and risk — often through the acquisition of a claim itself. This disciplined approach remains central to our investment philosophy today.
Building the Group
In 2015, the group consolidated its recovery activities under CASPER UNION, while the holding structure of CASPER GROUP was formally established. At the same time, CASPER PROPERTY was created to focus on real estate management, auctions and property transactions.
In 2020, as investment activities expanded and the need for efficient capital structures increased, CASPER FINANCING was established. Since 2021, specialised restructuring projects have been carried out through CASPER RECOVERY.
During the same period, all companies relocated to the group’s new headquarters in Prague 6 – Bubeneč.
Today, CASPER GROUP a.s. comprises ten companies, with several additional entities planned to be established during 2026.
Areas of Focus
The group’s activities currently include:
- receivables recovery and portfolio management
- advisory and restructuring services
- real estate development and property leasing
- financing of investment projects
- alternative energy investments
- firearms and optics distribution
2025
The past year was particularly significant in the area of real estate investments. We launched the revitalisation of a residential building in Smíchov, continued work on a standalone property in Vinohrady, and began the acquisition of a company owning a newly built functionalist villa in Prague 6. Several credit positions were also successfully closed.
One of the most notable transactions of the year was the sale of Seves Glass Block (formerly Vitrablok), a Czech manufacturer of glass blocks. The company had been acquired out of insolvency in 2024 together with the Progresus Group. Its subsequent sale to Sediver, a leading global manufacturer of high-voltage glass insulators and part of the portfolio of the investment giant Blackstone, represents an important reference transaction and a successful conclusion to the year 2025. The group’s turnover in 2025 reached CZK 800 million.
Investment Philosophy
Our ambition has never been rapid growth at any cost. Instead, we focus on the creation of long-term value through disciplined risk management and active ownership.
Every investment begins with a rigorous analysis of value and risk and continues with active ownership aimed at unlocking its full potential.
